a few life changes

Once again it has been way to long since I have updated my blog. Unfortuanatly I dont see this bad habit changing any time soon since my crazy life never seems to slow down. I thought that since today I had a few hours of down time I would try to do a little update. The last time I posted was last summer, and seeing as 6 months has gone by there has been so much that has happened.
I really dont even know where to begin.
To start: I have the amazing oppurtunuity to be in a program at my local police department, for Young adults ages 17-21. We get together and do training as a prep before we go to a police academy. It has been a blast to do all the trainging and meet the people. Just to name a few of the things we have done...
We spent 2 days at the fire station...

Building searches with the K-9 Unit...

Lots of riding in Police Cars :)

I am taking several cuncurrent enrolement classes through UVU to get some college credit while I am waiting to graduate. So to prepare for the real world, I am working two jobs. You would think that would keep me plenty busy, but I still manage to help my mom while she is working 70-80 hour weeks by running earrands and keeping the fridge stocked and running my two stinker butt sibling around to where they need to be.
My job during the week is being a child care provider (Nanny) for 4 beautiful children. Ages 10, 6, 4, and 7 months. I love it, at times I think I am not cut out for it, but it has taught me so much. It has given me a better understanding on what kind of parent I want to be when I have children.

We enjoy lots of trips to the park when the weather permits

My weekend job is working at a barn in Spanish Fork. I have always been more of a country girl than anything else, and living in the city is hard, so being able to find a job doing what I do has been such a blessing. I get to work with horses, and some of the most amazing people. It really feels like I am getting payed to play.

One of the many barn Cats :)

An internship, 2 part time jobs, a few college classes, keeping up with family, I dont have a social life, but good thing I have the most amzing best friend in the whole wide world. She puts up with me, and brings me coffee when I cant get out of bed, listens to me when I need to complain for hours, and takes me to the lake when I need to get some clean air in my lungs.

My mom and recently annouced that we are selling the house. It is a pretty big decision and one I have been hoping for. I am ready for some change and to get the heck out of the city where I can actually breathe. I am going to be moving up to Spokane WA, this summer where I will be helping my aunt with her two boys while she goes to collge. Eventually I will be moving with my cousin, I need to get out on my own and be more of an adult. My cousin Ashley and I have always been extremely close, but never been able to spend much time together because I have lived states away. Now that we are a little bit older we spend countless hours facetiming, half the time we dont even talk, it is just nice to have her there while I am doing homwork or doing things around the house. I cant wait to get an apartment together, it really will be a slumber party every day!

Spring break is in one week, and you will never guess! WE ARE HEADED TO WASHINGTON! Kenadee and my two siblings and I will be headed up on a road trip for one week. Our first stop will be in Wenatchee :) and then we are headed to Tacoma for the remainder of the time. We have big plans and I am getting to the point where I dont want to sleep, I just want to get out of here and get there!

In December I decided I need to change, I need to work on being healthier and being happier with my life. I started working out and eating healtheir and trying to take a little time for myself....
and as a result...

                        I have lost 35 lbs!!!!!
It is so nice to fit into my Jr High clothes and just feel amazing. I have so much more energy and am more comfortable with myself.
My life style has changed so much and I dont ever want to go back to what I was before

My life is beyond crazy, and there are going to be some big changes in it soon. For the good! I am so excited to see what the future has in store.

repelling me

Today I had the lovely opportunity to Repel! So fun! We hiked up to a waterfall and started setting up. I started to really freak out and shake. When it was my turn I got hooked up and they sent me off :/

This is me getting hooked up to the ropes and having some second thoughts.....

and off I go :)

at this point I was screaming. I didn't realize how much of a drop off there really was and it was freaking me out.

looking down....not a good idea!

Now I am smiling (mostly laughing because I was getting soaked by the waterfall) :) as soon as I realized and trusted myself it was a lot easier. I ended up repelling 5 times from all different angles from the waterfall. It was a blast and I am definitely addicted!

We hiked back down and went to J Dawgs, for my first time! They were amazing! I have been wondering what is the rage about a hot dog (i refuse to eat them) but they have sausage dogs and their special sauce! So Yummy!

Summer Update

I am not sure how I let myself get so out of the habit of posting. So here I am again, another attempt to be awesome and keep up with my blog. This summer has been filled with adventures, starting with out annual family trip to capital reef with many other families. Always so much fun, and I come back 10 pounds lighter from hiking everyday.
My two younger siblings headed off to Washington to spend it with their father, so we made a trip out of it. The oldest out of all the cousins, my cousin Kati was graduating and headed off to basic training for the Army, so we wanted to see her off. We started off by spending a day in Seattle at Pike's Place Market...
This is us Kids sitting on the famous pig, and yet the pig got cut out of the picture :/

This is my and Ashley, we are so much alike it is scary, she is my twin.
Us teenagers sitting on the dock next to a fountain...

Making some wishes, Amie is turned around....she couldn't wait ;)
Looking off at downtown Seattle.

Out on the Dock, it was amazing to look out at see the ocean curve around the earth...

We couldn't forget about the famous gum wall. yes it is really yucky but so fun
The gum wall gets bigger and bigger every year, and you wouldn't believe the thickness of gum on the wall....gaggg

This is the graffiti wall, notice we all have our arms on my little brother Isaac, well that is because he would stop flapping them...what a goofball!

The next day our Grandpa took us shooting :) all of us teenage girls :) once I got my hands on one of those guns I went a little crazy!

We got to shoot all shapes and sizes...

It was fun to share this moment with my sister, who knew that I would being learning how to handle a gun from my 14 year old little sis....
Out of all of the guns, the rifle was my least favorite, my favorite would have to have been the purse gun, it was really old so it had a big kick. The automatics were really fun too :)

The next day we went indoor sky diving. This was a blast :D

Here are a few pics of my family, my brother is a character!

OK don't be quick to judge this picture...yes my cheecks are flapping, yes i have no idea what I am doing, but it was so much fun. After everyone had gone the instructor (the man on the right) said that I was the one who drooled the most.......haha ya....i don't really have a comment for that.

This is a picture of me...afterwards.....adrenaline still pumping through my veins....

I accidentally ran into Ashley and we caught it on camera, literally laughing out loud!

My little toothless superhero! This kid is my favorite! We have a connection that none of the other cousins have and I love him with all my heart. Plus he is the cutest thing you will ever see :)

The next evening the girl cousins decided to take off to enjoy the waterfront as the sun was setting, it was amazing experience and although the pictures turned out a little blurring it really shows the feeling as we were there....
These were some of our last moments we got to spend before Kati left, I love this picture of the two of us, I miss her so much but she is going to come back from basic a changed women. She is so strong and such and amazing example to me.

.....and then there is Ashley and I, only a few weeks apart, we are basically twins, joined at the hip from birth, we are a lot to handle when we are together but she is like my other half, we go a little crazy :)

Yayyy for girls night out :D

My uncle was extremely excited to take us on a hike. Hiking in Washington is a whole different experience than Utah. There is Moss everywhere and the humidity is so intense you are sweating even though it feels freezing cold.
Amazing view of Mt. Rainier..

Sister L.O.V.E.
There really is a place called Paradise, and its in Washington. How perfect!

The animals there will come and eat right out of your hand, but for some reason they don't like to come to teenage girls that scream when they get near....I don't understand....
This tree is like bazzillions of years old! It was huge!

This is a random picture of Ashley and I in the Car, just chillian like villians!

After a 14 hour drive there and back my mom and I were finally home :( all alone.
We got up on the Fourth of July and saw the freedom balloon festival, it was my first time and I loved it!

Later that evening we got the unbelievable opportunity to sing in the Stadium of Fire Chorus, along with my friend Kenadee :)

The very next day .......

We packed up and went with some neighbors down to Zions National Park. We were going to hike the Subway but the flash flood warning were way to high and they weren't letting anybody in, so we decided to do Angels Landing instead.

My mom was freaking out the whole time, I think it was because it was her first time. It was my second, and yes it was a little scary....but hhaahhh no big deal. On average 1 to 2 people die every year doing this hike, so I guess she has a point.

Now I am home and trying to keep busy. I no longer work at 7 peaks so my days can be long and boring I pass the time with doing random hikes with friends.....

Going to Rodeo after Rodeo and getting my cowgirl on ;)

Crocheting, watching all three seasons of Drop Dead Diva, and simple staring at a rainbow outside my house

So this was a long update, but there is more to come! (sorry for all spelling a grammar mistakes.....please don't hold me responsible)
